The Color Index, also known by its abbreviation, CI or CIs, is a sequence of five numbers that helps PMU artists to identify each color in a universal way. After receiving many requests, RBKollors fully discloses the CI of all the brand's colors.


Before knowing the CI of colors (available below) it is important to know more about the subject. Therefore, we suggest that you read the full post carefully.


This Color Index exists for the following reason: how do I know that the shade of red I am seeing is the same shade of red you are seeing? There is only one way to know this: through the CI. It works as if it were the “color ID”.

Each generator color (White, Yellow, Orange, Red, Magenta and Black) has its ID. When mixed they become the colors you already know: Hot, Red Sand, Universal, etc.

Is it important to know the CIs?

It is not necessarily important, since RBKollors, together with its chemists, has already done necessary studies and knows that the mixture is ideal. However, some PMU technicians, for purposes of study or curiosity, like to know what colors were used to create the color used by them or, for example, to know if there is any undesired color in the formula.

Why do some colors have the same CIs?

Some colors have the same CI because they have the same pigment powder base, but that does not mean that the colors are the same. What changes in the creation of the pigment is the proportion of each color.

For example: the Ombré 1 and Ombré 2 pigments have the same CI, but not the same color ratio. Therefore, Ombré 2 has more orange and is more heated than Ombré 1, which also has orange, but in lesser quantity.

Have you, who is a micropigmenter or dealer, ever wondered how to store RBKollors pigments correctly? This directly influences the pigment's shelf life and even in other aspects, such as fixation, color and the possibility of using it or not on the client's skin.


How to properly store RBKollors pigments?

  • It is essential, first of all, to keep the pigments in their original packaging, inside the box with its respective package insert;

  • The pigment must not be exposed to sunlight, as this can change its original shade, as well as friction can damage the batch printing, color and expiration date;

  • RBKollors pigments must be stored in a cool, ventilated place and protected from humidity. The pigments must be kept at temperatures of, on average, 23ºC (73,4° F);

  • The ideal positioning is horizontal, so that the pigments remain homogeneous for a longer period.

  • The pigments must always be closed to avoid drying the ink inside the bottle.


Bearing in mind that the pigments displayed in shop windows and / or exhibitors must not be marketed or used by professionals. If exposed to sunlight or excessive light, they run the risk of having lost two original properties, for example.

Homogenized pigments

Correct storage of pigments directly influences homogenization:

If you buy the pigments directly from our distributors, please be aware that it is mandatory to sell the pigments completely homogenized, that is, each storekeeper / representative must have his agitator (several models are easily found in laboratory product stores), so that they maintain the original hue.

The shopkeeper must also pass this procedure on to the micropigmenter.

Why is it important? Before going through the stirrer, the pigment shows a variation of colors inside the bottle, which may make the professional think that it has some problem, such as being out of standards.
After passing through the shaker for a few minutes, however, the pigment acquires its original color throughout the flask.

Expired products: watch out!

Expired pigments, however, cannot be sold under any circumstances. To prevent it, put them on sale, if you are a dealer, before the pigment reaches the deadline. 
Therefore, for resellers, RBKollors authorizes sale below the list price. Once opened, therefore, RBKollors pigments have a shelf life of six months. If it has not been opened, the expiration date is as described in the box / bottle.

Organic or Inorganic Pigment - Which one has better fixation and durability?

It is not possible to measure the fixation time on each skin, since each organism reacts in a different way, but in theory the organic pigment is better accepted by our skin.


What is the basic difference between the Organic and Inorganic line?

Basically we can say that the most relevant difference between the Organic and Inorganic line is that the organic line has a greater tinting power and a greater facility to be able to enter the skin faster, not making the repetitive injury necessary for the color implant. In addition, the inorganic line does not have the full range of colors that the organic has. So, what is the advantage of the inorganic line? Those who work with the heavier hand may end up preferring this line, as well as some who perform shadow techniques.

What are the most suitable techniques for each line?

There are professionals who choose the Inorganic line to perform Shadow and start eyebrows. The inorganic line is still great for working with dermographs. For heavier hands, it builds wonderful hair strokes.
Because of its tinting power, the organic line is loved by those who expect high fixation and zero touch-up. In addition, for professionals with a lighter and more delicate hand, the organic line is a good choice, since it is possible to make fine and natural hair strokes with very few steps.

Can the Organic and Inorganic lines be mixed?

Both lines go through the same grinding, preparation and sterilization process using gamma rays. In addition, both lines have a very similar driving vehicle. Therefore, it can be mixed.


Can the allergic index increase with the use of the Inorganic line?

The skin is our biggest sensory organ and allergies have different causes that are still under research by science. An endless number of internal and external factors can directly influence the allergic process. It is not possible to state that the organic elements of the compost are more or less allergic, just as we cannot say something like the Inorganic line. What can be said is that there are no cases reported after all the tests performed.

WHAT IS RBKOLLORS?

RBKollors was created in 2015 and since then its main mission is to bring high-quality pigments to professionals all over the world, helping professionals to rescue the self-esteem of thousands of men and women.

Specialist in pigments for lips, eyebrows and skin, the history of our company mixes with the life trajectory of Renata Barcelli, our founder and CEO. These two names will be linked forever, as RBKollors is inspired by the abbreviation of Renata's name.

What made us the biggest pigment brand for micropigmentation in Brazil was the love we put into everything we do and the final quality of our pigments.


Headquartered in Sorocaba, 100 kilometers from São Paulo, our employees work tirelessly to offer the best service to professionals and wholesalers, in addition to constant research to always offer the most modern pigments on the market.


As our slogan already says, we are always one step ahead when it comes to beauty and micropigmentation.   

Our founder, Renata Barcelli has worked as a manicurist and in beauty salons, until she was advised to take a micropigmentation course for "having a good hand for drawings", according to a client at the time.

After teaching Eyebrow Design courses, Renata invented an instrument that would change her life: the Eyebrow Ruler. The material became popular and made Renata known.


Until the creation of the RBKollors pigments that we know today, there were many nights of study and testing.

In 2015, RKollors obtained authorization from the National Health Surveillance Agency to start the production of pigments. Since then, it has become a leader in the Brazilian market and already exports the pigment to more than 20 countries on all continents in the world.


For all these achievements, Renata Barcelli is known as the “mother of micropigmentation” in Brazil.


Currently, in addition to RBKollors, Renata Barcelli is also CEO of the RBKollors Technical Center, which teaches courses related to micropigmentation for professionals from all over Brazil, and of Laboratório das Sobrancelhas, a clinic specialized in micropigmentation.
